Last night was momentous in our house. Avery lost her first tooth, which had been loose for several weeks, but just started getting close within the last couple of days. The permanent tooth had actually already started growing in behind it, so it was time for this one to go. She let Brandon pull it out and was so brave.

We put her tooth in a plastic bag and she carried it around all night and kept looking at her smile in the mirror. It was pretty funny. She was so excited this morning to find the $ that the tooth fairy left under her pillow last night.

Avery insisted on another picture before they went to bed. She was so excited to show her teacher and friends at school her toothless smile today. She's growing up so fast, I can't believe it. I really try and be excited about each new stage and stepping stone in her life instead of be saddened that she's getting older. It's pretty much inevitable that one day these precious spirits will not be "ours" anymore and that some day they will be all grown up and have precious spirits of their own to take care of. It doesn't mean that we can't enjoy every minute we have with them though. Wait a minute... did I say
every minute? We moms know that we don't exactly enjoy
every single minute we have with our kids, but the years of joy and love we have with them certaintly overshadow those minutes of frustration, chaos, and uncertainty :) Thank goodness!!

Congrats to Avery on her first lost tooth. We had a tooth incident today too, but not a good event. Hunter chipped his permanent front tooth on the tile!
Yay Avery! You are such a good mom Brooke. Your girls are so lucky!
So cute! She looks adorable with a missing tooth!
Congrats Avery! That is so exciting! I love the pics of her, so cute! We need to get together before we leave for Idaho.
